Carlos went out of his way to make everything work. It was an especially crowded weekend in Miami with a lot of traffic, and Carlos delivered the RV like a professional. The RV itself, is extremely accommodating. Our favorite part where the wonderful meals we had. My family really enjoyed it. Everything was as described or better. It came with bedding, and everything you need for a wonderful experience. Everything was perfectly clean, and smelled good, etc. Don't take that for granted, sometimes RVs have a little smell to them. Carlos keeps this one smelling fantastic. It was clean, it was nice, and I would highly recommend.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Tamarac, FL

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Tamarac?

RV rental in Tamarac is more affordable than you might think, especially when you plan ahead. On RVezy, motorhome rentals in Tamarac average around $200 per night, while travel trailers come in closer to $120 per night, with many hosts offering 10 to 20 percent discounts on weekly or monthly bookings. To score a cheap RV rental in Tamarac, target the shoulder months of May and September, book a smaller Class C or campervan, and filter by Delivery so you skip pickup logistics. Pro tip: widening your search a few miles toward the Sawgrass Expressway corridor often unlocks the best nightly rates.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Tamarac?

Good news: your regular Class E driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Tamarac. Florida does not require a Commercial Driver's License for personal-use recreational vehicles, even for larger Class A motorhomes. To book on RVezy you must be at least 25 years old and an approved driver, and we verify your ID through the platform so there is no DMV trip or extra paperwork. Visiting from abroad? Pick up an International Driving Permit from your home country's auto association before you fly, pair it with your home license, and you are ready to roll out of South Florida.

What protection is included when I rent an RV in Tamarac?

Every RV rental in Tamarac booked through RVezy comes with a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance built in, so you can hit I-75 or Florida's Turnpike with real peace of mind. The protection plan covers most damages to the vehicle and is not traditional auto insurance, but it provides strong financial backup if something unexpected happens. During checkout you, not the host, choose your coverage level so you can pick the tier that matches your comfort. Pro tip: South Florida sees frequent afternoon thunderstorms, so opting for a higher coverage tier during summer storm season is a smart, low-cost confidence boost.

What if I need to cancel my Tamarac RV rental?

Booking is low-risk because RVezy, not the individual host, sets the cancellation policy for every reservation, and you will see the exact terms before you confirm payment so there are no surprises. If plans shift or a named storm approaches Broward County, our support team will work with you on options based on how far out your trip is and the circumstances. If a host ever cancels on you, RVezy provides a refund or travel credit so your plans stay protected. Pro tip: book early for Tamarac's peak winter snowbird season from January through March, since the best Class C motorhomes near Fort Lauderdale go fast.

Can I bring my dog on a Tamarac RV trip?

Absolutely, and Tamarac is one of South Florida's most dog-friendly launchpads. On RVezy, simply toggle the Pet-Friendly filter to see every pet-friendly RV rental Tamarac host who welcomes furry co-pilots. Once you're rolling, take your pup to Tamarac Dog Park on Pine Island Road for off-leash time, then head to Markham Park in nearby Sunrise, which has shaded trails and a dedicated dog area. Most Broward County beaches restrict dogs, but Canine Beach in Hollywood (about 20 minutes south) allows leashed pets on weekends with a permit. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm any pet fee, and bring a cooling mat since Florida pavement gets hot fast.

Can the RV be delivered to my campground or hotel in Tamarac?

Yes, RV delivery in Tamarac is one of the most popular options on RVezy, and it is a game-changer if it is your first time renting an RV. Many hosts will drive the motorhome or travel trailer straight to your campground, vacation rental, or even Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport, then level it, hook up utilities, and walk you through every system before handing over the keys. Just filter by Delivery on the search page and review each host's delivery radius and fee. Pro tip: delivery to Markham Park or Topeekeegee Yugnee (T.Y.) Park is especially common, so picking those destinations often unlocks the lowest delivery rates.

How far can I drive on an RV rental from Tamarac?

You've got serious range from Tamarac, whether you want unlimited mileage or a generous daily allowance. Many RVezy hosts offer RV rental with unlimited mileage, while others include 100 to 150 free miles per day with a small per-mile fee after that. From Tamarac you're roughly 35 miles to Miami Beach, 75 miles to Everglades National Park's main entrance, 165 miles to Key West via the Overseas Highway, and about 215 miles north to Orlando's theme parks. Pro tip: if you're planning a Florida Keys RV road trip from Tamarac, look for listings with unlimited mileage since the Keys add miles fast and a single trip down US-1 is already a 400-mile round trip.

Where are the best campgrounds near Tamarac?

You are spoiled for choice when it comes to RV camping near Tamarac. The closest favorites are Yacht Haven Park and Marina in Fort Lauderdale (waterfront sites with boat slips), Markham Park in Sunrise (full hookups right next to the Everglades buffer), and Easterlin Park in Oakland Park (a tucked-away county park with mature cypress trees). A little further afield, Topeekeegee Yugnee (T.Y.) Park in Hollywood offers full-hookup sites and a family water playground, and C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines is another solid Broward County option. Pro tip: Markham Park sites book up 11 months in advance for winter weekends, so reserve through the Broward County Parks system as soon as your dates are firm.

When is the best time to rent an RV in Tamarac?

The sweet spot for an RV rental in Tamarac, FL is mid-November through April, when daytime highs sit comfortably in the 70s and low 80s, humidity drops, and rainfall is minimal. This is also peak snowbird season, so book early. Summer (June through September) brings highs in the upper 80s to low 90s, daily afternoon thunderstorms, and the Atlantic hurricane season, which peaks August to October. The shoulder months of May and October give you warm weather, smaller crowds, and noticeably lower nightly rates. Pro tip: February and March are perfect for combining a Tamarac RV trip with the Miami International Boat Show or spring training baseball games up the coast.

I have never rented an RV before. Will I be okay driving one in South Florida?

You are going to do great, and you will not be left to figure it out alone. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through driving, leveling, slide-outs, water, propane, and the generator, and they are a text away during your whole trip. For your first time renting an RV, a Class C motorhome or campervan is ideal in Tamarac because they handle like an oversized van and fit standard parking. Stick to I-75 (Alligator Alley) and Florida's Turnpike for easier driving, and avoid downtown Fort Lauderdale's drawbridges and Miami Beach's low-clearance areas. Pro tip: Tamarac's wide suburban streets and nearby Sawgrass Mills parking lots are perfect for a quick practice loop before your real trip starts.

What happens if the RV breaks down during my trip?

You are covered 24/7, no matter where the road takes you. Every RVezy booking includes round-the-clock roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so a flat tire on the Sawgrass Expressway, a dead battery at Markham Park, or any mechanical hiccup is just one phone call away from help. Your host is also your direct lifeline and usually responds within minutes with troubleshooting tips, since they know their RV inside and out. RVezy's support team is available before, during, and after your trip too. Pro tip: snap photos of the RV's exterior at pickup and save your host's number and the roadside assistance line to your phone before leaving Tamarac.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validity

Can I take a Tamarac RV rental across state lines or to the Florida Keys?

Yes, an RV road trip from Tamarac to almost anywhere in the continental US is fair game, including Georgia, the Carolinas, and the full length of the Florida Keys. Most RVezy hosts welcome interstate travel, though a few set mileage caps, so message them through the listing if you're planning a long haul. One important note: travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance and protection coverage end at the border. Travel into Canada may be possible with host approval. Pro tip: the classic Tamarac to Key West run down US-1 takes about 4 hours each way, and Bahia Honda State Park is the most scenic mid-route stop to plug in for the night.
floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/bahia-honda-state-park

How much will fuel cost on a Tamarac RV trip?

Florida has some of the lowest gas prices in the Southeast, which keeps your fuel budget manageable. Expect Class B campervans to get 18 to 22 mpg, Class C motorhomes 10 to 14 mpg, and Class A motorhomes 7 to 10 mpg, while travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle. With regular unleaded averaging around $3.10 to $3.40 per gallon in Broward County, a round trip from Tamarac to Key West in a Class C runs roughly $150 to $200 in fuel. Pro tip: fuel up at the Costco or Sam's Club on Commercial Boulevard before leaving town, then again in Florida City before heading down US-1, since prices climb fast once you cross into the Keys.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far ahead should I book campgrounds near Tamarac?

For the best campgrounds near Tamarac, book as early as you possibly can, because South Florida's mild winters create fierce demand. Florida State Parks (including Hugh Taylor Birch in Fort Lauderdale and John U. Lloyd Beach in Dania Beach) open reservations exactly 11 months in advance through ReserveAmerica's Florida State Parks portal, and prime winter weekends sell out within minutes of opening. Broward County Parks like Markham and C.B. Smith use a separate county reservation system, also opening 11 months out. Private parks like the KOAs typically book 6 to 9 months ahead for January through March. Pro tip: set a calendar alarm for 8 a.m. Eastern on the day reservations open, since that's when Florida snowbird regulars are clicking refresh too.
floridastateparks.org/learn/reservation-information

What are driving conditions like around Tamarac?

Tamarac drives easier than most South Florida cities because it's a planned suburban grid with wide roads and easy access to the Sawgrass Expressway, Florida's Turnpike, and I-95. You'll want to avoid downtown Fort Lauderdale's drawbridges and the low-clearance streets of Miami Beach in a tall RV (max safe height is generally 13'6" on Florida highways). Watch for sudden afternoon thunderstorms June through September, which can drop visibility quickly, and stay alert for aggressive lane-changers on I-95. Pro tip: use the Florida Turnpike instead of I-95 when heading north or south, since it has fewer trucks, smoother pavement, and SunPass tolls (most RVezy hosts include a transponder or let you know how tolls are billed).
fdot.gov/traffic/trafficservicesoperations.shtm

What amenities do campgrounds near Tamarac offer?

Expect full-service comfort at most parks within 30 miles of Tamarac. The Davie/Fort Lauderdale KOA Holiday, Yacht Haven Park, and Encore Sunshine Holiday all offer full hookups (30/50-amp electric, water, sewer), Wi-Fi, swimming pools, and laundry. County parks like Markham and T.Y. Park provide water and electric at the site with centralized dump stations, and some have sewer hookups too. Free dump stations are available at the Davie/Fort Lauderdale KOA for non-guests for a small fee. Potable water fill-ups are easy at any full-hookup park. Pro tip: T.Y. Park in Hollywood has a fantastic on-site water park called Castaway Island, making it an unbeatable choice for a family RV trip Tamarac with kids.
broward.org/Parks/TYPark/Pages/Default.aspx

What's inside a typical RV rental in Tamarac?

Tamarac listings on RVezy come well-equipped for hot Florida weather. Expect a fully-functional kitchen (fridge, freezer, stove, microwave, sink), a bathroom with shower and toilet, sleeping space for 2 to 8 depending on size, strong roof-mounted air conditioning, and seatbelts for every passenger seat. Most rigs include a generator for boondocking, a TV, and many hosts now offer mobile Wi-Fi hotspots and outdoor patio setups perfect for Florida evenings. Linens, kitchenware, and camp chairs are often included or available as add-ons. Pro tip: in South Florida heat, prioritize listings with dual A/C units or a heat pump, since a single rooftop unit can struggle to keep a Class A cool during August afternoons.
weather.gov/mfl/

What add-ons and pickup options should I know about?

RVezy hosts in Tamarac offer flexible add-ons that make your trip turnkey: delivery and setup, generator hours, bike racks, beach chairs and umbrellas, paddleboards, linens and kitchen kits, propane refills, and pet packages are all common. Pickup is typically at the host's home in Tamarac or nearby Coral Springs, Sunrise, or Lauderhill, with most hosts offering a 30-to-60-minute walkthrough. Mileage policies vary, with options from unlimited to 100 free miles per day plus $0.30 to $0.45 per extra mile. Pro tip: bundling delivery plus a generator-hours package upfront is almost always cheaper than buying them piecemeal, and it lets you boondock at Big Cypress National Preserve worry-free.
nps.gov/bicy/planyourvisit/camping.htm

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is simple and secure: you pay through RVezy at the time of booking using a credit or debit card, and your funds are protected until your trip begins. Most Tamarac hosts also place a refundable security deposit hold (typically a few hundred to a couple thousand dollars depending on the RV) on your card a few days before pickup, which is released after the host confirms the RV is returned in the same condition. You will see the exact deposit amount on the listing before you book, so there are no surprises. Pro tip: do a quick walk-around video with your host at both pickup and drop-off. It takes two minutes and is the single best way to guarantee a fast, full deposit refund.
