Carlos went out of his way to make everything work. It was an especially crowded weekend in Miami with a lot of traffic, and Carlos delivered the RV like a professional. The RV itself, is extremely accommodating. Our favorite part where the wonderful meals we had. My family really enjoyed it. Everything was as described or better. It came with bedding, and everything you need for a wonderful experience. Everything was perfectly clean, and smelled good, etc. Don't take that for granted, sometimes RVs have a little smell to them. Carlos keeps this one smelling fantastic. It was clean, it was nice, and I would highly recommend.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Wilton Manors, FL

How much does an RV rental in Wilton Manors actually cost?

RV rental in Wilton Manors is more affordable than many travelers expect. On RVezy, travel trailers typically start around $95 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes range from $175 to $275 nightly, and luxury Class A coaches start around $250 and up. Snowbird season (December through April) is peak pricing across South Florida, so booking 60 to 90 days ahead helps lock in better rates. Pro tip: shoulder months like May and early November deliver the same sunshine at lower nightly prices, with wide campground availability along the coast.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Wilton Manors, FL?

Your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Wilton Manors. Florida does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or any special RV endorsement for the motorhomes and travel trailers listed on RVezy, including larger Class A coaches. Approved drivers are generally 25 or older with a valid license, and RVezy verifies your ID securely through the platform during booking. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Bring your home-country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your local auto association. Most first-time renters are surprised how quickly approval happens, often the same day you book.

Overnight street parking is not permitted in residential Wilton Manors, so plan to stay at a designated campground. Pro tip: Easterlin Park books up fast in winter, reserve through Broward County Parks the moment your dates are set.

When is the best time to visit Wilton Manors in an RV?

The sweet spot for RV camping in Wilton Manors is November through April, the dry season, when daytime temperatures sit between 72°F and 82°F with low humidity and minimal rain. This is South Florida snowbird season, so campgrounds fill quickly, particularly around the holidays, Wilton Manors Stonewall Pride in June, and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in late October/early November. May through October is the wet season with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s, daily afternoon thunderstorms, and active hurricane season from June 1 to November 30. Pro tip: late November and early December often deliver perfect weather with smaller crowds, ideal for first-time renters who want elbow room at the campground.

I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay?

You'll do great, first time renting an RV is exactly what RVezy hosts are set up for. Every booking starts with an in-person walkthrough where your host shows you how to operate the slides, awning, generator, fresh and waste water systems, and dash controls. Many Wilton Manors hosts include written cheat sheets and stay reachable by text throughout your trip. If you're nervous about navigating Federal Highway, I-95, or downtown Fort Lauderdale traffic, choose a host who offers delivery so you can skip the city driving entirely. Pro tip: start with a smaller Class C motorhome or campervan rental in Wilton Manors for your first trip, they drive much like a large van and park at any standard campsite.

Can I take my Wilton Manors RV rental out of state or across the border?

Yes, an RV road trip from Wilton Manors can absolutely cross state lines. Most hosts allow travel throughout the continental U.S., so Georgia, the Carolinas, and beyond are fair game. Popular routes include US-1 south to Key West (165 miles), I-75 west across Alligator Alley to Naples and the Gulf Coast (110 miles), and I-95 north to Savannah, GA (about 400 miles). Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance and the protection plan do not cover it. Canada trips may be allowed with host approval before booking. Pro tip: message the host directly from the listing page to confirm any long-distance route, especially if you're crossing into another state for more than a few days.

What should I budget for fuel on a Wilton Manors RV trip?

Fuel is the easiest line item to plan for. Most Class C motorhomes get 8 to 12 miles per gallon (MPG), Class A coaches 6 to 9 MPG, campervans 14 to 20 MPG, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle. Florida gas prices typically track near the national average, and you'll find easy fill-ups at Pilot, RaceTrac, and Wawa stations along I-95 and the Florida Turnpike. For a 4-day trip with 400 miles of driving in a Class C, plan roughly $130 to $180 in fuel. Pro tip: download GasBuddy before you leave, prices near the airport are noticeably higher than two exits inland.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far in advance should I book a campground?

Plan ahead and you're golden. For winter trips (December through April), reserve waterfront and full-hookup sites at places like Easterlin Park, Quiet Waters Park, and Markham Park 6 to 11 months out through the Broward County Parks reservation system. State parks in the region, like Hugh Taylor Birch State Park and Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park (formerly John U. Lloyd Beach), open bookings 11 months ahead through the Florida State Parks reservation portal and sell out within minutes for prime weeks. Private parks like Yacht Haven or Kozy Kampers usually have shorter lead times of 2 to 4 months. Pro tip: set a calendar reminder for the 11-month mark at 8 a.m. ET, that's when the best Florida state park sites are released.

What are local driving conditions like around Wilton Manors?

Driving in and around Wilton Manors is straightforward once you know the lay of the land. The city itself has tree-lined residential streets with a 25-30 mph limit, easy in any RV. I-95 and Federal Highway (US-1) are the main arteries and get busy during weekday rush hours (7-9 a.m. and 4-7 p.m.), so plan departures around those windows. Watch for low railroad bridges in the area, taller Class A coaches should stick to I-95 or the Florida Turnpike. Summer afternoon thunderstorms can drop visibility quickly. Pro tip: where to park an RV in Wilton Manors itself is limited, plan to pick up, fuel up, and head straight to your campground or coastal destination.
fdot.gov/traffic/

What hookups and amenities will I find at campgrounds near Wilton Manors?

You'll be well taken care of. Most full-service campgrounds in Broward County offer 30 and 50 amp electric, city water, sewer hookups, Wi-Fi, and laundry. Yacht Haven Park, Kozy Kampers, and Easterlin Park all check those boxes. Dump stations are widely available; the Markham Park dump station in Sunrise is open to the public for a small fee. Fresh-water fill is offered at every full-hookup site, so you rarely need to plan around it. State parks like Hugh Taylor Birch have water and 30/50 amp electric but no sewer at the site (use the on-site dump). Pro tip: pack a 25-foot drinking-water hose and a 90-degree elbow, Florida pedestals can be tucked in tight spots.
broward.org/Parks/Pages/MarkhamPark.aspx

Many include a TV, and newer rigs often have Wi-Fi boosters, solar, and onboard generators. Each listing has a full amenities checklist so you know exactly what's onboard. What add-ons and pickup options should I know about?

Hosts on RVezy make customizing your trip simple. Popular add-ons in Wilton Manors include bed and bath linen packages, camp chairs and outdoor rugs, paddleboards and kayaks (perfect for the Middle River and Intracoastal), bike racks, generator use, and pet packages. Pickup is usually at the host's home address, but many offer delivery to nearby spots like Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Port Everglades, and area campgrounds. How do payment and the security deposit actually work?

Payment is simple and fully handled through RVezy, no cash and no awkward host transactions. You'll pay your nightly rate, taxes, host add-ons, and protection plan by credit or debit card at booking. A security deposit hold (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV) is placed on your card a few days before pickup and released after a successful return, usually within about 7 days. To avoid issues, take date-stamped photos and a quick video of the RV's interior and exterior at pickup and dropoff, that's your best protection if any dispute arises. Pro tip: make sure your card has enough available limit for both the rental and the deposit hold before pickup day, it's the most common avoidable hiccup.
