2025 Other Class B
First time using the app and staying in a Class B, and we absolutely loved it. The app was super easy to use, which made the whole process smooth from start to finish. Linda went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Her van is beautiful, clean, and fully stocked with all the amenities, you can tell she really cares about the experience. We stayed at Sebring for the 12-hour race from Friday to Sunday, and it couldn’t have worked out better. We opted for pick-up and delivery, and Linda was extremely communicative the entire time, making coordination effortless. Everything was exactly as described (if not better), and the whole experience exceeded expectations. Highly recommend booking with Linda, especially if it’s your first time. We’ll definitely be doing this again.

Morgan has not only a pristine RV, but also has great, friendly, helpful customer service. Morgan is meticulous in maintaining his coach, which was fully stocked with anything a camper may want, and without extra expense. His orientation was most helpful and was also available online for quick reference to any questions or instructions on the coach's systems. I will definitely rent from Morgan again..

We had a great time, and the RV definitely helped with that! We went to a charity campout that allows RVs. It was so nice to spend time in Tampa and have a comfortable bed and A/C to come back to. Gary was easy to work with, the RV use was reasonably priced, and I will call on him again!

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Zolfo Springs, FL

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Zolfo Springs, FL?

Great news: RV rental in Zolfo Springs is one of Florida's better-kept budget secrets. Expect roughly $90 to $175 per night for travel trailers, $125 to $200 for Class C motorhomes, and $200 to $350 for larger Class A coaches. Because Hardee County sits off the tourist track between Tampa and Lake Okeechobee, daily rates here often run 15 to 25 percent lower than coastal hubs like Sarasota or Fort Myers. For a cheap RV rental in Zolfo Springs, book midweek, aim for shoulder seasons (April or October), and filter by travel trailers, which typically have the lowest nightly price. Pro tip: many hosts offer weekly discounts of 10 percent or more once you book 5+ nights at Pioneer Park.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Zolfo Springs?

Good news for first-timers: your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Zolfo Springs. Florida does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or special endorsement for any motorhome or travel trailer you'll find on RVezy, even the bigger Class A rigs. You'll need to be 25 or older, and ID verification happens right inside the RVezy platform during checkout, so there's no extra paperwork to chase down. Visiting from outside the US? Bring your home country's license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your local auto association. With the easy stuff handled, you can focus on the fun part: planning your paddle down the Peace River.

What kind of protection is included when I rent an RV in Zolfo Springs?

You're covered from the moment you hit the road. Every RV rental in Zolfo Springs booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can explore the Cracker Trail and Peace River with confidence. During checkout you (not the host) choose between different protection tiers, so you can pick the level of coverage that fits your trip and budget. Each plan covers specific damage scenarios with clearly defined limits, and the details are shown on RVezy before you confirm. It's one of the reasons first-time renters feel confident booking through RVezy: the safety net is already in place before you even arrive at the campground.

What if I need to cancel my Zolfo Springs RV trip?

Life happens, and RVezy makes cancellations straightforward. Cancellation policies for your RV rental in Florida are set by RVezy (not by individual hosts), so the process is consistent no matter which Zolfo Springs listing you choose. There's a money-back grace period right after booking, plus tiered refund options depending on how far out from your trip you cancel. The full policy details are shown on the RVezy website and during checkout, so you'll always know where you stand. If a host has to cancel on you, RVezy issues a refund or travel credit so your plans aren't left in limbo. Pro tip: booking earlier gives you more flexibility, so don't wait if you're eyeing a Pioneer Park weekend during Pioneer Park Days in February.

Can I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Zolfo Springs?

Absolutely: bringing your pup is part of the fun. Use the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy to instantly see pet-friendly RV rental options in Zolfo Springs, and message the host before booking to confirm any pet fee or breed notes. Once you're here, Pioneer Park welcomes leashed pets across its grounds along the Peace River, and the Peace River sandbars are a hit with water-loving dogs. Pro tip: pack a collapsible water bowl and a shaded mat. Central Florida humidity sneaks up on four-legged adventurers fast, and a quick midday break in the air-conditioned RV keeps tails wagging.

Can the RV be delivered to my campground in Zolfo Springs?

Yes, and it's a game-changer for first-timers. Many Zolfo Springs hosts offer RV delivery directly to Pioneer Park, nearby private RV parks, or a private property of your choice. They'll level the rig, hook up water and 30/50-amp power, prep the tanks, and walk you through every system before handing over the keys. Use the Delivery filter on RVezy to instantly see hosts who offer this, then message them for a quote (fees usually scale by mileage from their home base). For a stress-free Zolfo Springs RV trip, delivery means you skip the towing learning curve and start your vacation already parked under the oaks.

How does mileage work, and how far can I travel from Zolfo Springs?

Plenty of room to roam. Hosts set their own mileage policies, and you'll see the exact daily allowance (typically 100 to 150 free miles per day) on every listing page before you book. Some Zolfo Springs hosts even offer RV rental with unlimited mileage, which is ideal for longer loops. To put it in perspective, from Zolfo Springs you're about 70 miles to Sarasota's Gulf beaches, 80 miles to Tampa, 95 miles to Fort Myers, 100 miles to Orlando area attractions, and 150 miles to the Everglades' northern edge. Pro tip: if you're planning a multi-stop RV road trip from Zolfo Springs, message the host before booking to ask about a custom mileage package.

Where are the best campgrounds near Zolfo Springs to park my RV?

You've got fantastic options within minutes of town. Pioneer Park is the local star, a Hardee County park along the Peace River with RV campsites, four lakes for fishing, and miles of shaded trails. Nearby private parks offer full-hookup snowbird-friendly sites, and Lazy Acres RV Park is a quieter long-stay favorite in town. For state-park lovers, Paynes Creek Historic State Park in nearby Bowling Green and Highlands Hammock State Park near Sebring (about 30 minutes away) both have shaded full-hookup loops. Pro tip: Pioneer Park books up fast during Pioneer Park Days each February, so reserve through the Hardee County parks office well in advance.

When is the best time to visit Zolfo Springs in an RV?

The sweet spot is November through April, when daytime highs sit in the comfortable 70 to 80°F range and humidity finally takes a breather. December and January average 50 to 70°F, perfect for sleeping with the windows open. Summer (June through September) brings 90°F-plus heat and near-daily afternoon thunderstorms, so plan early starts and budget for AC. February is special: Pioneer Park Days transforms Zolfo Springs into a festival of old-Florida music, food, and antique tractors, and RV camping near Zolfo Springs sells out fast that weekend. For the magic combination of warm weather, low bugs, and clear paddle days on the Peace River, aim for late February through mid-April.

I've never rented an RV before. How will I know what I'm doing?

You're in better hands than you think. First time renting an RV? Every RVezy host provides a hands-on orientation at pickup (or at delivery), walking you through the propane, water system, slides, leveling, generator, and tank dumping step by step. You can ask as many questions as you want, take photos, and even record video on your phone for reference. Many Zolfo Springs hosts also send a digital walkthrough guide before your trip. If something stumps you mid-trip, your host is just a message away, and 24/7 roadside assistance is included with every booking. Pro tip: start your first trip at Pioneer Park, which is just minutes from town services in case you forget anything.

What happens if I have a breakdown or flat tire during my trip?

Help is one call away, day or night. Every motorhome rental in Zolfo Springs through RVezy comes with 24/7 roadside assistance bundled into the protection package, so a flat tire on State Road 64 or a dead battery at Pioneer Park is a quick fix, not a vacation-ender. The roadside team handles towing, jumpstarts, tire changes, lockouts, and fuel delivery. You can also message your host directly through the RVezy app for system-specific questions (like resetting a tripped breaker). Pro tip: save the RVezy support number and your host's contact in your phone before you leave the driveway, and keep a paper copy in the glovebox in case you lose signal in the rural stretches of Hardee County.

What are the best RV road trip routes from Zolfo Springs?

Zolfo Springs sits in a road-tripper's sweet spot. Popular RV road trip routes from Zolfo Springs include: the Gulf Coast loop south to Fort Myers and Sanibel (about 95 miles), the Everglades route via LaBelle and Big Cypress (around 140 miles), the Highlands Hammock and Lake Wales scenic drive (about 60 miles north), the Sarasota and Siesta Key beach run (about 70 miles west), and the Orlando area dash (about 100 miles north). The Florida Cracker Trail (State Road 64) running through town is itself a scenic stretch made for slow RV travel. Heads-up: travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. For US trips you're all clear, just confirm any out-of-state plans with your host.
visitflorida.com/places-to-go/central/

What should I budget for fuel during my Zolfo Springs RV trip?

Easy to plan once you know the numbers. Most Class C motorhomes get 8 to 10 miles per gallon (mpg), Class A coaches 6 to 8 mpg, campervans and truck campers 14 to 18 mpg, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle (often 10 to 14 mpg combined). Florida gas prices typically run a few cents below the national average, and Zolfo Springs has convenient fuel stops at the U.S. 17 and State Road 64 junction. For a 4-night trip with 300 miles of driving in a Class C, plan on roughly $130 to $170 in fuel. Pro tip: top off in Wauchula or Sebring rather than tiny rural stations, as prices and pump access are friendlier for big rigs.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far ahead should I book a campground near Zolfo Springs?

Sooner is better, especially in winter. For Pioneer Park, reservations are handled through the Hardee County Parks & Recreation office and are first-come, first-served by phone; aim to book 2 to 3 months ahead for January through March, and at least 6 months ahead for Pioneer Park Days in February. Florida State Park sites (like Highlands Hammock or Paynes Creek) open exactly 11 months in advance through the Reserve America/Florida State Parks system and the prime winter weekends snap up the moment they release. Private parks like The Oasis at Zolfo Springs and Lazy Acres RV Park are usually more flexible, often available within a week or two. Pro tip: have two backup dates ready when you call.
floridastateparks.org/learn/reservations

What are the driving conditions like around Zolfo Springs?

Refreshingly easy, especially compared to Florida's coastal traffic. Zolfo Springs sits at the calm intersection of U.S. Highway 17 and State Road 64, both two-lane rural highways with wide shoulders and gentle pace. Terrain is flat (this is Central Florida ranch country), so there's no mountain driving to worry about. Watch for occasional cattle-crossing signs, slow-moving farm equipment, and afternoon summer thunderstorms that can drop heavy rain fast between May and September. Hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, so check the National Hurricane Center forecast before any late-summer trip. Pro tip: avoid driving I-4 between Tampa and Orlando during rush hour, and use U.S. 17 north as your scenic, low-stress alternative.
fdot.gov/traffic/trafficservices/

What amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Zolfo Springs?

Pretty much everything you need is right here. Pioneer Park offers 65 sites with water and electric hookups (30/50-amp on many sites), a dump station, restrooms, picnic pavilions, a playground, fishing piers, and miles of trails along the Peace River. The Oasis at Zolfo Springs and Lazy Acres RV Park provide full hookups (water, sewer, electric) plus laundry and Wi-Fi at many sites. For where to park an RV in Zolfo Springs with a dump station, both private parks and Pioneer Park's day-use dump are reliable options. Potable water fill is available at all three. Pro tip: bring a 25-foot freshwater hose and a 30-to-50-amp adapter so you're ready for any site configuration the campground assigns you.
hardeecountyfl.gov/departments-services/parks-recreation/pioneer-park/

What's typically included inside the RVs I can rent in Zolfo Springs?

You'd be amazed how turnkey these rigs are. Most RV rentals in Zolfo Springs come stocked with a real bed (queen or king in motorhomes, plus convertible dinettes and bunks), a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, sink, and cookware, an indoor bathroom with toilet and shower, roof air conditioning, propane heat, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many hosts include linens, towels, a starter propane tank, and basic outdoor chairs. Class B campervan rental Zolfo Springs options are more compact but include the essentials. TVs, Wi-Fi hotspots, and onboard generators are common on Class A and C motorhomes. Pro tip: check the listing's amenity list and message the host to confirm anything specific (like a backup camera or solar) before you book.
flhsmv.gov/motor-vehicles-tags-titles/recreational-vehicles/

What add-ons and pickup options can I choose with my Zolfo Springs RV rental?

You can customize your trip in a few clicks. Popular add-ons from Zolfo Springs hosts include bike racks, kayaks or paddleboards (great for the Peace River), camping chair and table sets, propane refills, generator hours, linen and kitchen kits, and pre-stocked firewood. Fees vary by host but are clearly listed on each RVezy listing. Pickup is typically at the host's home or storage location, with most owners based around Zolfo Springs, Wauchula, or Sebring. Mileage policies (free miles per day plus an overage rate) are also shown on the listing. Pro tip: ask about a Peace River paddle package; some local hosts know exactly where the best fossil-hunting sandbars are and will throw in a trip plan.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Simple and secure from start to finish. When you book your RV rental in Zolfo Springs, payment is processed entirely through the RVezy platform (never directly to the host) using a major credit or debit card. You'll see the full breakdown of nightly rate, protection plan, taxes, mileage, and any add-ons before you confirm. A refundable security deposit is held or authorized separately from your booking payment; the exact amount is shown on the listing and is released after the trip once the host confirms the RV came back in good shape. To avoid any deposit issues, do a walk-around video at pickup and dropoff, dump tanks if required, and refuel to the level noted on your agreement.
