There was a grounding issue between the 5000W inverter and the trailer. Ryan (trailer owner) was very responsive when contacted, troubleshot the issue quickly, kept the communication during the rental period great, and was very flexible with delivery and pickup. I was very impressed with my rental experience with Ryan I would rent from him again

David was absolutely incredible to work with. He truly saved our family vacation weekend to the Dover NASCAR races, when our other RV reservation cancelled at the last minute. David was extremely prompt with his responses and was so accommodating with drop off and pick up and everything was amazing with the RV. My family and I are extremely grateful for David and our experience with RVezy.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Elkton, MD
How much does it cost to rent an RV in Elkton, MD?
Great news: an RV rental in Elkton, MD can fit almost any budget. Motorhomes near Elkton typically average around $200 per night, while towable travel trailers and pop-ups run closer to $120 per night, with most hosts offering 10 to 20 percent weekly and monthly discounts. Add roughly $30 to $70 per night for a basic campsite or $80 to $120 for full-hookup resorts. To find a cheap RV rental in Elkton, filter by older travel trailers, book midweek, and aim for shoulder seasons in May or late September. Pro tip: bundling a delivered trailer with a state park site at Elk Neck often beats the price of a hotel weekend on the Chesapeake.
dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/pages/central/elkneck.aspxDo I need a special license to rent an RV in Elkton, MD?
Good news: for almost every RV rental in Elkton, MD, your regular Class C driver's license is all you need. Maryland's Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) only requires a non-commercial Class B license for motorhomes with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) over 26,000 pounds, and virtually every Class B campervan, Class C motorhome, travel trailer, and fifth wheel on RVezy falls well under that threshold. You'll need to be at least 25 years old with a valid license, and RVezy verifies your ID through the platform during booking. Visiting from abroad? Bring your home license plus an International Driving Permit and you're set to rent an RV in Elkton without any extra paperwork.
mva.maryland.gov/drivers/Pages/recreational-vehicle-info.aspxIs RV rental in Elkton safe and protected?
Absolutely, peace of mind is built into every RV rental in Elkton. Every RVezy booking automatically includes a protection plan that covers eligible damage to the vehicle, plus 24/7 roadside assistance from the moment you pick up the keys. During checkout, you choose the protection level that fits your trip, so coverage is set by RVezy, not the host. Whether you are heading to Elk Neck State Park or driving I-95 toward Baltimore, you are backed by real support. Pro tip: take a quick walk-around video with your host at pickup and again at drop-off so any pre-existing scratches on the rig are documented.
rvezy.com/insurance-and-protectionWhat is RVezy's cancellation policy for Elkton bookings?
You can book your RV rental in Elkton with confidence, because RVezy sets the cancellation policy for every reservation, not individual hosts. There is a money-back grace period right after booking, and refund eligibility after that depends on how far out you are from your trip start date. If a host needs to cancel, RVezy refunds the guest or provides travel credit. The full policy is available in your booking confirmation and on the RVezy Help Center, and our support team is available before, during, and after your trip. Pro tip: book early for fall foliage weekends in Elkton and lock in your dates with confidence.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I find a pet-friendly RV rental in Elkton, MD?
Yes, bringing the dog is easy in Elkton. Plenty of hosts offer pet-friendly RV rental in Elkton, MD, and you can narrow your search instantly using the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy. From there, message the host to confirm any pet fees or breed notes. Once you're on the road, you've got fantastic options nearby: Elk Neck State Park allows leashed pets in the campground loops, and the Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area just north of town has over 80 miles of trails ideal for dogs. Pro tip: pack a tie-out, a collapsible water bowl, and a towel, since Turkey Point Beach and the Elk River swims will leave your pup happily soaked.
dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/Pages/central/FairHill.aspxCan the RV be delivered to my campsite in Elkton?
Yes, RV delivery in Elkton is one of the smartest ways to start your trip, especially if it's your first time renting an RV. Many local hosts will tow or drive the rig directly to Elk Neck State Park, Woodlands Camping Resort, or even your driveway in town, then handle leveling, hookups, and a full walkthrough. Use the Delivery filter on RVezy to see hosts offering this service, and message them with your dates and destination for a quote. Delivery fees typically scale with distance from Elkton. Pro tip: a delivered travel trailer at Elk Neck means you skip backing into a wooded site on your first try, which is a win for everyone.
dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/pages/central/elkneck.aspxHow far can I drive on an Elkton RV trip?
You can cover serious ground from Elkton because you're sitting at the crossroads of three states. Most hosts include a generous daily mileage allowance (commonly 100 to 150 miles per day) and some offer RV rental with unlimited mileage for longer adventures. Popular drives include Assateague Island National Seashore (about 130 miles southeast), Washington D.C. (about 90 miles southwest), Gettysburg, PA (about 70 miles northwest), and Lancaster Amish Country (about 45 miles north). Each is an easy day's drive in any motorhome rental in Elkton. Pro tip: ask your host upfront about their mileage policy and any overage rate, then map your route in advance so you can lock in the right package.

parkreservations.maryland.gov/camping/elk-neck-state-park/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=MD&parkId=380108When is the best time to visit Elkton, MD for an RV trip?
The sweet spot for an Elkton RV trip is May through early October, with September often crowned the most pleasant month thanks to highs in the mid-70s, low humidity, and thinning crowds. July is the warmest month, averaging around 87°F with high humidity, while January dips to lows near 26°F with occasional snow. Spring blooms beautifully along the Chesapeake from mid-April, and fall foliage along the Susquehanna peaks in mid to late October. Winter camping is possible at Lums Pond and Elk Neck (off-season is first-come, first-served at Elk Neck), but you'll want a four-season RV. Pro tip: target the weekend after Labor Day for warm water, cool nights, and easy reservations.
weather.gov/lwx/I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay?
You're going to do great, and Elkton is genuinely one of the easier places to learn. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking through the propane, water system, slide-outs, generator, and dump procedure so you're not guessing later. First time renting an RV? Pick a travel trailer or Class C, request delivery to Elk Neck State Park so your first drive is just from the campsite to Turkey Point Lighthouse, and lean on your host's text support throughout the trip. RVezy's 24/7 customer service is also one tap away. Pro tip: arrive 30 minutes early at pickup and record the orientation on your phone for easy reference later.
dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/pages/central/elkneck.aspxWhat happens if I have a breakdown or issue on the road?
You are never on your own. Every RV rental in Elkton on RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, covering services like flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, and towing. If something goes wrong on I-95, US-40, or out at Elk Neck, you call the roadside number in your booking and help is dispatched. For mechanical or appliance questions, your host is your second lifeline since they know their rig best, and RVezy support handles anything in between. Pro tip: snap a photo of your booking confirmation, host phone number, and roadside hotline before you leave the driveway, since cell service can be spotty south of Turkey Point.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Elkton RV rental across state lines or to Canada?
Yes, interstate travel is one of the best perks of an RV road trip from Elkton. You are minutes from Delaware and less than 10 miles from Pennsylvania, so popular routes include the Brandywine Valley, Lancaster Amish Country, the Cape May ferry, and Shenandoah National Park, all permitted on RVezy rentals. Canadian trips may be allowed with host approval and an insurance check, so message the host before booking. Travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage does not extend across that border. Pro tip: a four-day loop from Elkton through Lancaster and Cape May covers three states, two ferries, and short driving days.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityHow much should I budget for fuel on an Elkton RV trip?
Fuel is easy to plan for around Elkton. Expect a Class B campervan to deliver 18 to 22 miles per gallon (MPG), a Class C around 8 to 12 MPG, and a Class A roughly 6 to 10 MPG, while towable trailers depend on your tow vehicle. Maryland gas prices typically run slightly above the national average, and you'll find easy fill-ups at the Royal Farms and Wawa stations along US-40 and Route 213 in Elkton before jumping on I-95. For a 3-day, 300-mile loop in a Class C, plan roughly $120 to $180 in fuel. Pro tip: top off in Delaware just across the state line, where gas is often a few cents cheaper per gallon.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near Elkton?
Booking early pays off. Maryland's state parks open reservations 365 days in advance through parkreservations.maryland.gov, and Elk Neck State Park's waterfront and full-hookup sites for Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day weekends often fill within hours of opening. For Lums Pond State Park in Delaware, reserve through reservedelaware.com. Private parks like Woodlands Camping Resort and Bar Harbor RV Park accept reservations 6 to 12 months ahead for peak weekends. Off-season (November through March), most spots are first-come, first-served. Pro tip: set a calendar reminder for exactly one year before your desired arrival date and book at 8:00 a.m. Eastern when the booking window opens for the best sites.
parkreservations.maryland.gov/What are the driving conditions like around Elkton?
Driving an RV around Elkton is refreshingly manageable. I-95 runs right through town and is well-maintained four-lane interstate, though traffic thickens near the Delaware Memorial Bridge during rush hour and Friday afternoons. Route 213 and MD-272 down to Elk Neck are scenic two-lane roads with gentle terrain and no steep grades, perfect for first-time RVers. Watch for low clearance under the rail bridges in downtown Elkton (the Main Street area), and avoid the narrow lanes of historic North East with anything over 30 feet. Winter brings occasional snow and ice from December through February. Pro tip: avoid I-95 northbound on Sunday afternoons in summer, when Jersey Shore traffic backs up for miles.
