I would to thank Carlos Acuna and his wife the the excellent rental RV they provided for me at the EAA Sun-n-Fun event in Lakeland, Florida recently. They provided a beautiful and extremely clean RV for us. They accomplished a complete setup and gave me a very good briefing on the operational aspects of the RV. The personal touches such as the personalized Welcome sign, snacks, coffee, and other items were greatly appreciated. I will definitely attempt to rent from them again in the future.

Great Experience! I Highly recommend! All you need to do is bring yourself, your clothes, and some food. Just about everything else is provided. They have a weight distribution hitch (which saved me a lot of money). They even had the cable to hook up my generator. Their A/C blew ice cold air, the refrigerator kept everything cold and the freezer worked perfectly. If you can get fresh water, you leave and have hot showers! All you have to do is back up your vehicle, hitch it up and go have fun. The owners are Very helpful and communicate very quickly to help with any questions you have. I would definitely rent from them again and highly recommend them. Thank you so much for a great experience.

This was our first campervan rental (actually, it was our first Campervan trip of any kind) and it has really inspired us do it again. Renting from Linda was easy. She was very responsive to any questions we had about the process and what was included. The van was amazing. Spotlessly clean with everything we needed to make our trip easy. The walk through was informative and Linda answered all our questions. We could not have been happier with our experience. We'll be renting again for sure!

What do I need to rent an RV in Pebble Creek?

To rent an RV in Pebble Creek, you generally need to be at least 25 years old and hold a valid driver's license. A regular Class E driver's license is sufficient in Florida, even for larger Class A motorhomes, so no commercial driver's license (CDL) or special RV endorsement is required. RVezy verifies your ID and driving record through the platform during checkout, which usually takes just a few minutes. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Is insurance and roadside assistance included with my Pebble Creek RV rental?

Every RVezy booking in Pebble Creek includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit the road with peace of mind. You choose your protection level (not the host) during checkout, picking the plan that fits your comfort zone, and it covers damage to the RV during your trip subject to plan terms. Roadside help is built in, meaning if you get a flat on I-75 heading to Busch Gardens or need a tow near Hillsborough River State Park, one phone call gets you sorted. It's a substantial financial safety net designed specifically for peer-to-peer RV rentals, and it's a big reason first-timers feel confident booking.

When is the best time to rent an RV in Pebble Creek?

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay?

Yes, first time renting an RV in Pebble Creek is genuinely easier than people expect. Every RVezy host gives you a full orientation at pickup, walking you through the generator, slide-outs, water system, propane, and dump procedures, and most send a written cheat sheet too. Pebble Creek sits right off I-75 with wide suburban roads, so you can get comfortable behind the wheel before heading anywhere tricky. Every motorhome rental in Pebble Creek booked on RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance covering common issues like flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, fuel delivery, and towing. Can I take the RV out of Florida or across the border?

Yes, you can cross state lines with your RV rental, and many guests do. Popular interstate routes from Pebble Creek include Savannah, Georgia (around 5 hours north), Charleston, South Carolina (about 8 hours), and the Great Smoky Mountains (roughly 10 hours). Confirm out-of-state travel with your host before booking, since some prefer to keep their RV within Florida. One important note: travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because the protection plan and insurance don't extend south of the border. What should I budget for fuel on a Pebble Creek RV trip?

Fuel is one of the biggest variables, but easy to estimate. Class C motorhomes average 8 to 10 miles per gallon (MPG), Class A coaches roughly 6 to 8 MPG, campervan rental Pebble Creek options like Class B vans get 15 to 20 MPG, and a travel trailer towed by your own truck adds 3 to 5 MPG of penalty to your tow vehicle. As of mid-2026, the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metro gas average has hovered around the $4 per gallon mark, with diesel slightly higher. For a 200-mile weekend trip in a Class C, budget about $90 to $110 in fuel. Pro tip: download the GasBuddy or AAA Mobile app to find the cheapest stations along I-75 and I-4.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Pebble Creek?

Earlier is always better, especially for Florida state parks. Hillsborough River State Park, Lake Manatee State Park, and Fort De Soto Park accept reservations up to 11 months in advance through floridastateparks.reserveamerica.com. Hot winter dates (December through March) often sell out within minutes of opening. Private RV resorts like Lazydays, Tampa East, and Travelers Rest typically book 3 to 6 months out for snowbird season but have more last-minute availability in summer. Hillsborough County's regional campgrounds at Lithia Springs and Edward Medard Park are great alternatives. Pro tip: use a cancellation alert tool like Campnab to grab a sold-out site when someone drops their reservation.
floridastateparks.reserveamerica.com/

What's driving an RV in the Tampa area actually like?

Driving conditions around Pebble Creek are RV-friendly for the most part. The terrain is dead flat, the major arteries (I-75, I-275, I-4, and US-301) are wide and well-maintained, and you're 20 minutes from open country once you head north toward Zephyrhills. Two things to watch: summer afternoon thunderstorms can dump heavy rain fast (just pull off at a rest area and wait it out), and downtown Tampa has several low clearances under 12 feet around Bayshore Boulevard and Ybor City. If you're nervous about urban driving, book delivery to your campground and skip the city altogether. Pro tip: avoid I-275 over the Howard Frankland Bridge during weekday rush hour (7 to 9 AM and 4 to 6 PM).
fdot.gov/traffic/

What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Pebble Creek?

Florida campgrounds near Pebble Creek are well-equipped for a comfortable stay. Hillsborough River State Park offers water and electric hookups at most of its sites, hot showers, laundry, and a central dump station. Private resorts like Lazydays RV Resort include full hookups (water, electric, sewer), Wi-Fi, pools, hot tubs, dog parks, and clubhouses. Most Hillsborough County parks have potable water fill stations and dump stations for registered campers. If you need to dump or refill water mid-trip, the Flying J Travel Center near Plant City and the Pilot in Wildwood both have RV service islands. Pro tip: bring a 25-foot drinking-water hose and a water pressure regulator since some older parks have inconsistent pressure.
floridastateparks.org/learn/camping-florida-state-parks

What's typically included in an RV rental in Pebble Creek?

Most RVs on RVezy come ready to roll. Expect a fully equipped kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink, cookware, dishes), a bathroom with toilet and shower, comfortable sleeping for 2 to 8 people, air conditioning (essential for Florida humidity), heat, and a TV with DVD or streaming. Many include a generator for boondocking, an outdoor awning with chairs, and seatbelts at designated travel seats. Campervan rental Pebble Creek options usually have a smaller footprint with a convertible bed, kitchenette, and roof fan. Wi-Fi varies by host, but Tampa-area cell coverage is excellent so a hotspot works almost anywhere. Pro tip: read each listing's amenity list carefully and message the host about specifics like high chairs, bike racks, or pack-and-play setups.

What add-ons and options can I get with my Pebble Creek RV rental?

Lots of fun extras are available to customize your trip. Common add-ons from RVezy hosts in the Tampa area include kayaks and SUPs (perfect for the Hillsborough River and Weeki Wachee Springs), bike racks, beach chairs and umbrellas for Clearwater and Honeymoon Island, portable grills, generators, and linens and kitchen kits if you want a true turnkey experience. Pickup and dropoff usually happen at the host's home, but delivery to Tampa International Airport (12 miles south), the Port of Tampa for cruise embarkations, or directly to your campground is widely offered for a fee. Mileage policies vary, so always check the listing's daily allowance and overage rate before booking. Pro tip: bundle add-ons when you message the host for potential discounts.

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is simple and secure on RVezy. You pay through the platform with a credit or debit card when you book, and your funds are processed securely so you're never wiring money to a stranger. A refundable security deposit (typically a few hundred to a few thousand dollars depending on the RV's value) is held before your trip and released after you return the RV in good condition. To avoid issues, take date-stamped photos and videos of the interior, exterior, and odometer at both pickup and dropoff, return the RV with the same fuel and propane levels, and dump the tanks if required by your host. Pro tip: keep all receipts from your trip just in case.
